Prof. Dr. Stefanie Walter Junior Professor for International and Comparative Political Economy Bergheimer Str. 58, room 03.033 Tel: +49-6221-543726 | ![]() |
In my research, I concentrate on the fields of international and comparative political economy, with a particular focus on how distributional conflicts, policy preferences and institutions affect economic policy outcomes. Current projects examine the political economy of financial crises and exchange-rate policymaking, the effect of exposure to international competition on individuals’ policy preferences, and the effects of the global financial and economic crisis on the German federal elections 2009. My work has been published in journals such as Economics & Politics, European Journal of Political Research, International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, Politische Vierteljahresschrift, Review of International Political Economy, and World Development.
